USA Fruit Parfait!

With the recent news about Osama Bin Ladin I have been feeling quite patriotic lately. What better way to celebrate life, liberty and justice in the good ole’ US of A than with FOOD?! This little dandy is a delicious and nutritious snack; it looks pretty cool too!

  • 1 cup of Chobani, blueberry flavor
  • 1/2 cup of blueberries
  • 1/2 cup of red berries (I used a mixture of raspberries and strawberries)
  • Your choice of granola or high fiber cereal (I used Uncle Sam’s with flax seed)

Assemble…and marvel!

Notice the Sears Tower in the background πŸ™‚ I love this city! (I’m aware it is now called the Willis Tower but I will always refer to it as the Sears Tower…)

Random questions:

1. What do you use yogurt for – do you eat it plain, with fruit, in a smoothie, mostly for cooking, don’t like it at all?

2. What are your thoughts on the Osama Bin Ladin killing – are you relieved, fearful of a revenge attack, couldn’t care less?

this is such a cute idea!!! It’d be great for the 4th of July, too! Nice and cold and creamy on a hot summer day. I’m glad Osama has been ‘taken out’ but I think the nation needs to move on and be in peace and not be so forward with the protests about his death, you know? I am glad that such a horrible person no longer exists on this Earth.

I am quite fearful of his death. It’s not like once we killed him Al Qaeda is going to give up and surrender…
