Baked Apple Dessert

This is a yummy, healthy dessert option that will satisfy your sweet tooth without all of the calories and sugar. The BF decided to top his with whipped cream but for a more nutritious choice try mixing  packet of stevia with 0% Greek yogurt. It’s creamy like whipped cream but gives you more nutritional oomph! (Adapted from All Recipes)

Ingredients:

  • Honey crisp apple
  • 1 tsp Brown sugar
  • Cinnamon

Directions:

1.     Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

2.     Cut out the core creating a hollow whole in the middle.

3.     Mix 1 tsp of brown sugar and as much cinnamon as desired in the cavity of the apple

4.     Place on oven-safe dish or pan and bake for 30 minutes

5.     Let cool and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream with another sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
